About me

I am a qualified primary teacher and former nurse. My background includes working with people special needs for Social Services and for Mencap, running a mental health project and lecturing in further education in Early Years and Social Care.

My psychology degree led me to pursue education with young children and I have been teaching infants and small nurture classes, in a local primary school for the last 11 years.

I've always had a great enthusiasm for early years and developing children's personal, social and emotional development.  With this is mind, I qualified as a Thrive Practioner and have supported children and their families with emotional/behavioural issues. This has enabled me to develop good partnerships with parents and ensured a consistent approach.

I am registered with Ofsted as a childminder and have completed all the necessary training that this involved.
